    1. Change the charger and check. Voltage must be 5 to 7 Volts.

    2. Clean, Resold or Change the Charger Connector.

    3. If the problem is not solved then change the Battery and Check. Non Removable Battery are Just Glued at the Bottom. They can be Removed Easily but Little Carefully.

    4. Check Voltage of the Battery Connector using a Multimeter. Voltage must be 1.5 to 3.7 DC Volts.

    5. If there is no voltage in the connector then check track of the charging section. Refer to the diagram of the particular model of the mobile phone. Books with track diagrams are easily available in the market. The same can also be searched on the internet.

    6. If the problem still not fixed then check Fuse, Coil and Regulator – one by one. Change if required.

    7. If the problem is still not solved then Heat or Change the Charging IC.

    8. Lastly Heat, Reball or Change the Power IC.

    • If the phone shows “NOT CHARGING” then change the Battery and check. If the problem is not solved then remove the charging regulator (no need to change it).

    • If the problem is still not solved then change the R22.

    • If the problem is not fixed then remove the two SMD capacitor above the Battery Connector (No need to change).

    What’s the difference between a normal USB and a USB Type C connector?

    Most electronic devices, such as laptops and other computer equipment will include at least one standard USB Type-A port, so it’s fair to say that USB connectors have been around for a long time. Smaller devices like smartphones, power banks, and external hard drives will usually feature either the smaller USB Type B connectors or micro-USB connectors to save valuable space.

    All of a sudden, USB Type C connectors or USB-C as they’re now being called, are being championed as a one-size-fits-all solution for charging and transferring data between devices. The question is though, is USB-C really any better than we’ve been using before? We’re going to look at some of its key features compared to the standard USB-A port.

    The reversible new shape

    The USB-A has a much larger physical connector than the Type C, Type C is around the same size as a micro-USB connector. Unlike, Type A, you won’t need to try and insert it, flip it over and then flip it over once more just to find the right orientation when trying to make a connection. The beauty of Type C is that it can be inserted any way up as the connector pins are the same on either side.

    Supporting the new standard

    The USB-C connector supports various exciting new USB standards like USB 3.1 – which allows extremely fast data transfers of up to 10 Gbps – and USB PD, which enables power delivery.

    Even faster charging

    Currently, a standard USB 2.0 connection offers up to 2.5W of power (which is just about enough to charge your phone at a snail’s pace), while the USB PD standard supported by USB-C can deliver a massive 100W of power, which is more than enough to charge a laptop. It’s bidirectional, which means connected devices can both send and receive power – at the same time, to top it all off.

    Space-saving

    It’s safe to say that the days of devices having a large number of different connector ports are long gone. USB-C ports can support a variety of different protocols using “alternate modes,” which allows you to have adapters that can output other types of connections from the USB port. Now, HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA, headphone and power ports can be streamlined into a single type of port, helping devices to become slimmer than ever before.

    Interoperability

    The USB-C won’t be one of those obscure connectors that are exclusive to one company’s devices alone. More than 700 technology companies collaborated on the design and adoption of this new connector, including big names like Apple, Google, Dell, HP, Intel, Microsoft, and Samsung. We can expect the USB-C to become a common feature in new electronic devices being released over the next year or so.

    Backward compatible

    Even though you can’t physically connect a USB-C connector to a Type-A port, you can use a physical adaptor to plug older devices into a USB-C port. However, the underlying standard is backwards-compatible, meaning a USB 3.0 standard connector can be used with a USB 2.0 port, although it will only work at the speed and capability of the older standard, in this case, the USB 2.0 standard.

    It’s clear that USB-C is the new emerging standard for power and data, and will become ubiquitous across the majority of devices. It will also give rise to a range of adaptors for other types of connectors as devices become slimmer and increasingly simpler when it comes to power and data ports.

    Members of the European Parliament have voted for a single universal charging solution for small portable devices, which Apple had cautioned against.

    The resolution passed with 582 votes in favour to 40 against. MEPs will now urge the European Commission (EC) to adopt the new rules.

    The MEPs want to make it possible for consumers to use a single charger for all smartphone and tablet models.

    But the devices themselves could still, in theory, use different ports.

    The idea behind the move is to "decouple" the sale of a charger from that of a new mobile device, and instead encourage consumers to re-use those they already own.

    From A to C

    At present, Apple packages most of its iPhones with charging plugs that have a USB-A port for their Lightning cables.

    By contrast, some Android phones - such as Google's Pixel 4 - come with a wall charger that features a smaller USB-C port, for use with a corresponding USB-C cable.

    Apple does sell a cable that has a USB-C connector at one end and a Lightning one at the other, so in theory could easily switch its adapters to the new technology. In fact, its top-end smartphone - the iPhone 11 Pro Max - comes bundled with a USB-C power adapter.

    The move would, however, mean that most existing Lightning cables - and indeed other types of cable with USB-A connections - would require an adapter to work with the new chargers.

    It could also prevent companies having the freedom to move to a follow-up type of port in the future when the next standard emerges.

    European politicians have been campaigning for a common standard for the past decade, with the EC estimating that obsolete cables generate more than 51,000 tonnes of waste per year.

    They acknowledged, however, that the situation is at least better than in the past, when some proprietary charging cables came hard-wired to their plug, meaning the adapter had no use beyond the device it came with.

    "In 2009, there were more than 30 charging solutions, while today there are three charger types," a press release from the European Parliament said.

    But Apple has previously said: "We want to ensure that any new legislation will not result in the shipment of any unnecessary cables or external adaptors with every device, or render obsolete the devices and accessories used by many millions of Europeans and hundreds of millions of Apple customers worldwide."

    Ben Wood, an analyst with research firm CCS Insight, said: "Given the current trend towards sustainability and a reduction in e-waste, this seems like a sensible move. However, the EU needs to be careful not to stifle innovation by mandating a certain technology indefinitely."

    With an eye to the future, MEPs have also said they want the EC to ensure that different wireless chargers are interoperable with different mobile devices.

    We once imagined the future would be flying cars and jet packs, now we simply hope they won't make us buy a new phone charger.

    Good news: The European Parliament has voted 582-40 in favour of a resolution urging lawmakers to set a standard for charging cables, citing "consumer frustration".

    Consumer frustration could refer to anyone who's upgraded their phone and had to replace all the cables, or anyone who's ever just wanted to charge their phone to get home.

    At this stage, it's only a resolution. The European Commission now has to draft a law and vote on it, which has been scheduled for July.

    Since the vast majority of the industry uses micro-USB or USB-C, the legislation would mostly affect Apple's proprietary Lightning Cable.

    In a statement, Apple said any potential regulation would "stifle innovation".

    The regulation would also mean Apple would no longer make money through licensing its connector technology; any third party companies who make devices with these connectors and ports need to pay for the license from Apple.

    Before the EU's vote, Apple had already started to include USB-C on the high-end new iPhone 11 Pro announced in September.

    Aside from consumer frustration, the EU resolution named e-waste as one of the biggest reasons the industry needs to adopt a charging cable standard.

    "Fifty million metric tons of e-waste is generated globally per year, with an average of more than 6 kg per person," it said.

    "Total e-waste generation in Europe in 2016 was 12.3 million metric tonnes, equivalent to 16.6 kg on average per inhabitant...this represents an unnecessary environmental footprint that can be reduced."

    In response, Apple has also argued that being forced to abandon the Lighting connector would create an "unprecedented amount of electronic waste".

    The company says it has shipped more than a billion devices that have a Lightning connector, as well as millions of accessories that use the technology.

    USB stands for "Universal Serial Bus." It was named this because engineers felt it would replace other connectors on the market to become the one standard connector.

    Unfortunately, things didn't work out so neatly. Over the years, a half-dozen variations of USB have emerged, including mini-USB and micro-USB.

    And the main USB connector style, called USB-A, is infamously flawed. Almost-but-not-quite symmetric, it's infuriatingly difficult to insert properly on the first try.

    Now, USB-C is the latest version of the USB standard. But unlike the rest, USB-C might be good enough to stick around.

    Here's what you should know about USB-C , the best take on the technology in years.

    The USB-C connector is immediately recognizable, because unlike the older USB-A, it has an oval shape a rectangle with its corners smoothed into a curve. It's completely symmetrical, so it's impossible to insert incorrectly.

    In addition, USB-C is narrow enough that it can fit on phones with no problem. This means that it can be a standard connector for both computers and phones, as well as other devices like game consoles.

    Some popular devices that use USB-C cables are the Nintendo Switch, MacBook Pro, and Samsung Galaxy line of phones.

    USB-C connectors are the fastest around with the right setup

    USB-C connectors can be used to transfer data, power, and even video and audio.

    However, how fast it works depends on what you're connecting it to.

    Different devices have different types of USB ports. These are generally split into three types: USB 3.1, USB 3.2, and Thunderbolt 3 (the latter mainly found on Apple computers). You can see what type you have by checking your device's manual, or contacting the manufacturer.

    By default, a USB-C cable plugged into a USB 3.1 port can transfer 10 gigabytes of data per second. Plugging into a 3.2 port will get you 20 gigabytes per second. And Thunderbolt 3 ports allow USB-C cables to carry a substantial 40 gigabytes per second.

    This is much faster than any other sort of USB connector.

    USB-C cables are also used to transfer power they're commonly used to charge portable devices, smartphones, laptops, and even security cameras.

    A standard USB-C connector can provide 2.5 watts of power, which is the same as most USB-A connectors. But many devices use something called a Power Delivery (PD) protocol, which will let a USB-C cable deliver up to 100 watts.

    PD cables can charge laptops and other high-wattage devices, something impossible for the older USB standards.

    In short: USB-C cables far outpace other types of USB cables. As time goes on, more and more devices will start using USB-C.

    Apple has hit back at the prospect of losing its proprietary Lightning port connection, saying the potential European Commission ban would "create an unprecedented volume of electronic waste and greatly inconvenience users".

    In an unusually lengthy statement Apple also points out that it is also increasingly working with the USB-C standard, anyway: 

    "We do not believe there is a case for regulation given the industry is already moving to the use of USB Type-C through a connector or cable assembly.

    "This includes Apple’s USB-C power adapter which is compatible with all iPhone and iPad devices [via a not-included USB-C to Lightning cable]. This approach is more affordable and convenient for consumers, enables charging for a wide range of portable electronic products, encourages people to re-use their charger and allows for innovation.

    The forcibly-worded statement is the biggest sign yet that Lightning is here to stay and not - as has been suggested by rumours in the recent past - about to be replaced by USB-C completely. 

    Apple claims that a ban on proprietary ports would "harm consumers in Europe and the economy as a whole" because of wasting the accessories they already own.

    The company cites a report - that it commissioned - from Copenhagen Economics that suggests a regulatory mandated single type of device-end connector is likely to "entail losses of consumer value of at least €1.5 billion".

    It also points out that over half of EU households already have just one type of device connector across all of their mobile devices, so in other words they are either an Apple household, or they use USB-C or micro USB to charge their devices - but usually one type. 

    The report adds "There is no scope for those households to reduce the number of chargers they use by mandating a single device-end connector".

    Apple's statement suggests that "legislation would have a direct negative impact by disrupting the hundreds of millions of active devices and accessories used by our European customers and even more Apple customers worldwide, creating an unprecedented volume of electronic waste and greatly inconveniencing users.


    And it ends by suggesting that the European Commission needs to think more about the consequences of a ban. "We hope the Commission will continue to seek a solution that does not restrict the industry’s ability to innovate and bring exciting new technology to customers."

    The rumour mill may be reaching a crescendo for the incoming Samsung Galaxy S20 series, but it's also hotting up for 2020's other key launches including the iPhone 12. 

    The iPhone 12, 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max will boast Apple's first 5G iPhone among their number, but the latest rumours concern the size of the standard iPhone 12 handset which is said to have a bigger screen size yet have a thinner body. 

    MacOtakara quotes a supply chain source that suggests the design won't be a massive departure from the iPhone 11 (no real surprise there) but that we should expect a thinner range of handsets down to 7.4mm from 8.1/8.3mm.

    The source also suggests screen sizes of 5.4, 6.1 and 6.7-inches with there possibly being two 6.1-inch variants for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro. 

    The latter size is expected to have a slightly larger footprint than 2019's iPhone 11 Pro Max.

    The 5.4-inch size would be smaller than today's iPhone 11 so that seems unlikely - but could it be that we'll get another cheaper iPhone option as an iPhone SE replacement?

    Other rumours suggest that the new phones will all have OLED displays (currently a Pro and Pro Max feature) and dual cameras for the standard models with the iPhone 11 Pro triple camera setup being retained for the equivalent models in 2020.
